EAST MACHIAS – Derrick Porter rapped a two-run single to cap a five-run sixth inning, leading Washington Academy to a 6-4 high school baseball win over Woodland on Monday.

Mike Lenfestey hit a two-run double in the sixth inning to tie it at 4-4 for the Raiders. Bryce Colbeth doubled for WA.

Ben Sears had two singles and two RBIs for the Dragons, and Scott Boomer added two doubles.

At Danforth, Jacob Scoville and Matt Little drove in two runs each and seven pitchers combined on a one-hitter as Machias beat East Grand.

Scoville had a double and single and Little singled and had a sacrifice fly.

At Deer Isle, Collin Ciomei allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out 10 to lift Deer Isle-Stonington over Sumner of East Sullivan.

Joe Carter had two singles and two RBIs for the Mariners and Oliver Lawson hit a two-run single.

John Matson led Sumner with a two-run double in the second inning.

At Hermon, Andrew Hodge drove in three runs on a two-run single and a sacrifice fly to help lead Ellsworth past Hermon.

Jordan Carter hit a double and a single and knocked in two runs for the Eagles. Patrick Kelly doubled and singled with an RBI.

Derek Helms led Hermon with a double and a single.

At Eastport, Joel Francis had two singles and two RBIs to help lead Shead of Eastport past the Jonesport-Beals Royals.

A.J. Seeley had a two-run triple and Caleb Ricker had two singles and one RBI for the Tigers.

Terrell Carver had a double for the Royals and Zack Felton’s single was the only other hit.

At Lincoln, Bookie Nesin turned in a solid pitching performance and aided his own cause with a three-run triple as the Lynx notched their third win.

Cam Wadleigh singled and doubled for the Bucks and Jordan Trasko notched an RBI double.

At Eastport, Breanna Beal tossed a no-hitter, allowing one run, three walks and hitting two batters while striking out nine to lead Jonesport-Beals to victory over Shead.

Sara Smith led Jonesport-Beals with a double, three singles and three RBIs. Whitney Norton added three singles and two RBIs.

Cassie Barnes scored a run in the first inning for Shead.

At Thomaston, Danielle Frye and Liz Hall collaborated on a five-inning one-hitter and Brittany Worcester belted a three-run homer as Georges Valley remained unbeaten.

Frye pitched four innings of one-hit ball with 10 strikeouts and four walks and Hall struck out two and walked two in one relief inning.

Aley Watts had two singles and an RBI for Georges Valley.

At East Machias, Shelby Bassett pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts and three walks while leading the Woodland Dragons past Washington Academy of East Machias.

For the Dragons, Courtney Cochran and Cali Anthony each had a double and two RBIs. Ashley Laking added a double and Shaina Hood had an RBI single.

Singles by Carilla Fritz and Taylor Davis were the only hits by the WA Raiders.
