SKOWHEGAN – Somerset County deputies have arrested three men in connection with at least seven camp burglaries at Chase Pond in Moscow.
Justin Steward, 19, and Joshua Hoskins, 20, both of North Anson, and Benjamin Pratt, 19, of Bingham each have been charged with seven counts of burglary, four counts of Class B theft, three counts of Class D theft, and cultivation of marijuana.
Additionally, Pratt was charged with violating conditions of release and receiving stolen property.
The three men were arrested Sunday, May 4, after a two-day investigation involving Deputies Ritchie Putnam, David Cole and Zachariah Logiodice. Search warrants were executed at the residence of Steward and Hoskins on the Solon Road and at the Pratt home in Bingham.
Detective Lt. Carl Gottardi II said that items taken in the camp break-ins – which included firearms, fishing equipment, alcoholic beverages, a chain saw and other equipment – were recovered at both homes.
