MACHIAS – Matt Little pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts Wednesday to lead Machias to a 4-0 high school baseball victory over Woodland.

Jacob Stevens hit a home run while Joe Whitney had three singles for Machias. Sam Whitney added two singles.

Scott Boomer and Aaron St. Pierre each singled for Woodland.

At Calais, Jordan Leeman hit a solo homer and Josh Gillespie a two-run shot to lead Calais past Narraguagus of Harrington.

Matt O’Brien knocked a solo homer and an RBI single while Zach Newman singled, doubled and tripled with an RBI for the Blue Devils. Dylan Ramsdell added three singles and Steve Rogers a double and two singles.

Kam Jordan homered for Narraguagus.

Terrell Carver posted an RBI single for Jonesport-Beals.

At Gardiner, Tessa Dodge hit a three-run home run and winning pitcher Kayla Santheson added a solo home run and an RBI single as Medomak Valley of Waldoboro earned the win.

Rachel Lee doubled and singled for the winners, while Rachel Keefe singled twice and Kayla Vannah and Danica Simmons each doubled.

Santheson struck out 12 batters and walked six in the circle.

At Machias, Shelby Bassett pitched a five-inning one-hitter, striking out eight and walking four, to pace the Dragons.

Bassett also rapped a double and two singles for Woodland, while Ariel Knights hit a double and two singles with two RBIs. Cali Anthony and Marlene Flaherty each singled three times with an RBI.

Amber Scoville hit a first-inning single for Machias.
