WASHINGTON – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has awarded a $216,005 grant to the state Department of Marine Resources for resource monitoring of Maine fisheries.
The NOAA grant will fund research initiatives at the DMR, including a recreational fisheries statistics survey of the charter boat-headboat fleet and the development of a volunteer angler survey logbook to supplement the National Marine Fisheries Service’s Marine Recreational Fishery Statistics Survey.
