Since I am old enough to remember when some elected Republicans were moderates, I was disappointed to read in the May 5 BDN that at the state Republican convention, Sen. Susan Collins shared the stage with right-wing columnist Cal Thomas.
How many of Creepy Cal’s opinions does Sen. Collins share? Does she consider the war in Iraq a success? Does she really believe Clarence Thomas is a great Supreme Court justice? Does she think national health care should be scorned as socialized medicine?
Tom Allen must be hoping Cal Thomas will return to Maine with more “fair and balanced” opinions.
