Royalettes trip Dragons Alley strikes out 12 in victory

JONESPORT – Brittany Alley tossed a three-hitter, giving up only one run while striking out 12 as the Jonesport-Beals softball team defeated Woodland 3-1 on Wednesday.

Hannah Carver hit an RBI single for Jonesport-Beals.

Ariel Knights doubled and singled for Woodland.

At Rockport, Erskine Academy’s Sam Morse struck out eight batters and walked two en route to a six-inning no-hitter against Camden Hills.

Rachel Siegfriedt and Taryn Gary led the way for the Erskine Eagles of South China with three singles apiece. Ashley Richardson had two doubles and Erica Malley added two singles.

At Waldoboro, Paige Gardiner struck out three and walked only one in pitching a four-hitter for the winning Purple Panthers.

Gardiner also doubled and singled while Taylor Hart doubled in a run for Waterville.

Rachel Keefe hit two singles while Ashley Hart and Miranda Conary each singled for Medomak.

At Oakland, Lacey Littlefield and Michelle Wells combined on a three-hitter, striking out 11 as Hampden earned its eighth shutout of the spring.

Eva Shannon laced a two-run double in the fourth while Kate Plowmann hit an RBI single and Kasey Belcher a fielders choice RBI in the seventh for the Broncos.

Julianna Beckett doubled and singled for Messalonskee.

At Belfast, Christine Hill drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the tenth inning to lift Belfast past Gardiner.

Vickii Overlock posted two doubles, a single and an RBI for Belfast. Brianna Webster, Morgan Mansfield and Dominique Haver each had two singles for the Lions.

Hannah Lawrence hit a triple and a double with two RBIs for Gardiner. Chelsea Striker added a pair of singles.

At Searsport, Lydia Clapp pitched a five-hitter and aided her own cause with a two-run home run, a double and a single to propel George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill by Searsport.

Lexi Wessel hit a home run, a double and a single to plate three runs while Stephi Davis hit a two-run home run for the Eagles.

Jana Francis-Mezger posted a pair of singles for Searsport while Shannon Higgins had an RBI single.

At Machias, Kayla Wood pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts while contributing two singles, a triple and two RBIs for the Raiders of East Machias in the win.

Joslyn Corey added three singles and an RBI for Washington Academy.

Emily Knights hit a single for Piscataquis.

At Deer Isle, Phil Dougherty doubled, singled twice and drove in three runs as Bangor Christian rolled.

John Johnson had two singles, a double and RBI and Tyler Alexander a double for the Patriots.

Collin Ciomei hit a solo homer and Eben Powers an RBI single for the Mariners.

Raven helped his own cause with a double and two singles. Keil Lemieux singled twice for Mount View of Thorndike and Ian Campbell hit a two-run home run.

Dave Searle’s single with one out in the fifth was Rockland’s only hit of the game.
