PORTLAND – A Harrison woman charged with murdering her infant son has pleaded not guilty in Cumberland County Superior Court.

Pamela Henderson, 43, was ordered Thursday by a judge to undergo a psychological evaluation. She is being held without bail.

Henderson told authorities that she and Zachary, her 3-month-old baby, were taking a bath together when she dozed off. She says the baby was underwater when she woke up.

Court documents quote Zachary’s father, James Storey, as saying Henderson called him to say she had killed the baby and tried to take her own life.
