Peers, Kelley help keep Eagles undefeated

HODGDON – Kellie Peers’ run-scoring double and Caitlin Good’s RBI single keyed a six-run seventh inning that enabled undefeated Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics to pull away for a 19-11 high school softball win over Hodgdon Thursday.

Peers had a double and two singles and three RBIs, Ashlynn Kelley had a three-run triple and a single and Victoria St. Pierre doubled and singled for the 10-0 winners.

Haley Quint tripled and singled for Hodgdon and Taylor Hovey doubled and singled. Destiny Ellis, Dayna Tidd, Sam Lycette and Lizz Scott had two singles apiece. Hovey and Tidd had RBIs.

At Washburn, Suzanne Poulin hit four singles and drove in four runs to spark undefeated Ashland by Washburn.

Whitney Flint hit a home run and singled to drive in five runs for the Hornets.

Rachel Palmer hit a double while Meaghan Saucier had an RBI single for Washburn.

At Fort Fairfield, Kristen Vaillancourt hit three singles, a double and drove in three runs to lead Van Buren by Fort Fairfield.

Macy Ouellette hit a triple and a double to drive in two runs for the Crusaders.

Sarah Hebert had two doubles, a single and three RBIs while Kelly Lynch posted a triple, a single and two RBIs for Fort Fairfield.

At Presque Isle, Erika Lackey had two doubles and a single and Vanessa Sanderson three singles as the visiting Shiretowners rallied for the win Wednesday night.

The Shires trailed 5-0 after the first inning and plated four runs in the seventh to win.

Allisen Donovan singled twice for Presque Isle.

Adam Kingsbury posted an RBI double for the Wildcats.

Josh Harvey had two singles and an RBI while Mike Flewelling and Parker Brown doubled for Houlton.

Logan McCarthy and Logan McLaughlin had two singles each for Central Aroostook of Mars Hill and Manny Martinez had an RBI double.

Ian Towle hit two singles, a double and drove in four runs for Fort Fairfield. Pat Kinsey tripled and doubled with three RBIs while Austin Dufour had a triple, a single and four RBIs. Cody Closson and Josh Churchill added two singles apiece for the Tigers.

Derek Rossignol, Jake Deschaine and Kyle Hews each hit a single for Van Buren.
