Portland Boxing Club flyweight, Jorge Abiague, won a unanimous 5-0 decision over Daniel Lozano of Tampa, Florida to win the 2008 National Golden Gloves Championship held in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Abiague will join Portland Boxing Club teammate Lisa Kuronya as the only two open class National champions ever from the State of Maine.
