Piscataquis Community High School, Guilford

Piscataquis Community High School has announced the honor parts for the graduating Class of 2008.

Martha Witick, daughter of Michael and Holly Witick, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2008. She will attend Colby College.

She has participated four years in chess club, pep band, golf team and Envirothon. She has been a member of the National Honor Society and jazz band since her sophomore year, and has served as a representative on the student council during her freshman and sophomore years. She has attended Maine Girls’ State.

Mallory Bussell, daughter of Douglass and Cheryl Bussell, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2008. She will attend the University of Maine at Orono to study forestry.

She is a member of the National Honor Society and has participated four years in band and field hockey. She has been involved in volunteer opportunities at the Guilford Memorial Library and the Master Gardener program.
