James Frost, principal of Bangor Christian Schools, has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2008. The graduation ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 6, in the Bangor Baptist Church auditorium.

Verity Ramirez, daughter of Marius and Elizabeth Ramirez of Ellsworth, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2008. She will attend the University of Maine in Orono to study biochemistry.

She has served as class president, student council president and president of the National Honor Society during her high school career. She was a National Merit Commended Scholar, received the MPA Principal’s Award, the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award, and a DAR Good Citizen Award.

Ramirez participated in cheerleading all four years of high school and was a member of the state champion squad. She has been a junior volunteer at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital for three summers.

Won Taek Oh, son of Eui Seok Oh and Jong Hwa Lee of Korea, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2008. He will attend Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, to study political science, law and international relations.

He has participated in the school band, soccer and the basketball team. He is a member of the National Honor Society.
