BLUE HILL – Carilla Fritz singled and knocked in three runs to lift Washington Academy of East Machias to a 6-5 high school softball victory over George Stevens Academy on Friday.
Kayla Wood and Irene Lewey also singled for the Raiders.
Alida Peake hit an RBI triple and Stephanie Davis an RBI single for the Eagles.

At Rockport, the Maine Central Institute Huskies of Pittsfield scored two runs in the top of the second inning and made them stand up as rain shortened the game to six innings.
MCI scored five runs and had the bases loaded with no outs in the seventh, but both teams agreed to forego the rest of the inning as rain intensified.
Kristy Huff hit a two-run single and Jordan Kennedy tossed a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts for the Huskies.
Olivia Hannahan hit an RBI single for the Windjammers.

At Danforth, Andrew Gilman hit a two-run double in the sixth inning to give East Grand the win over Hodgdon.
Kaleb Dicker singled three times for the Vikings. Kevin Campbell hit a two-run single in the fifth, and Abe Brittain had seven strikeouts in earning the win.
Travis Quint hit a double and two singles to pace the Hawks. Jamie Ryan doubled and singled. Mike Rimbos and Ryan combined for 11 strikeouts.

James McLamb doubled and singled to pace the Tigers. Nick Bourassa and Mike Holland each singled twice and Rocky DeSanctis earned the complete-game victory.
Larson Platt had a single and a double while Nick Lemieux added two singles for the Bucs.

At Lincoln, senior Peter Coggins allowed no earned runs on one hit and one walk while striking out seven to lead Mattanawcook past Central of Corinth.
Josh Murchison singled and drove in three runs for the Lynx. Lance Bernier had two singles, two RBIs and two runs. Tyler Tash singled twice and drove in a run and Adam Laird added a two-run single.
Scott Kelley hit an infield RBI single in the third inning for Central’s only hit.
