BAR HARBOR – Memorial Day ceremonies at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the cemetery in Town Hill and at 10 a.m. on the town pier. Members of the local American Legion then will proceed to Sonogee Estates and on to Birch Bay Village in Hulls Cove for a flagpole dedication and other related events.
BELFAST – Frank D. Hazeltine American Legion Post and Randall-Collins VFW Post annual Memorial Day parade at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26. Post members meet at the Legion hall on Church Street at 8 a.m. for a ceremony honoring fallen members and then gather at the VFW hall on Field Street for a similar ceremony. Marchers gather at Renys parking lot on Belmont Avenue. The parade begins at 10 a.m. The marchers will stop at Grove Cemetery for a ceremony at the Veterans Monument and continue down Main Street to the public landing, where a wreath will be tossed on the waves in memory of Waldo County’s veterans.

BRIDGEWATER – William Cousins American Legion Post 118 ceremony, 11 a.m. at the memorial.
CAMDEN – Color Guard forms at 8:20 a.m. Monday at the Legion Hall followed by a lineup and a welcome by Ron Rainfrette of Legion Post 30 at 9 a.m. at the Camden Public Landing. The national anthem and Navy hymn will be played. A commemmorative wreath will be thrown into the harbor. A rifle salute and taps will be performed. The Air Force will do a fly-over, weather permitting. At 9:30 a.m., parade participants line up by the Seventh-day Adventist Church on Camden Street, continue to the Conway Monument, Village Green and Harbor Park to Mount View Cemetery for a ceremony. CARMEL – Parade starts at 11 a.m. Monday. It will form at the Carmel Elementary School and proceed to the village, where a brief service will be conducted by the American Legion Post 107. After the parade, a dedication ceremony will be held for the new Veterans Memorial located at the Carmel Municipal Building.
CHERRYFIELD – Services to be held at Charles Wakefield Memorial Bandstand at 1 p.m. Monday. Memorial service with military honors will follow in memory of Legionnaire and WWII veteran Gerald C. Cohen. Parade follows at 2 p.m. to Stewart Park, proceeding to the Civil War monument in the old Pine Grove Cemetery. A free supper will follow for all marchers, veterans and next of kin of deceased veterans.

DEXTER – Memorial Day parade and services, 10 a.m. Monday, May 26; parade begins in the municipal parking lot and proceeds onto Lower Main Street, Main Street, Church Street and on to Dam Street, where the Veterans Memorial Park is located. ELLSWORTH – Memorial Day parade at 10 a.m. Monday, starting at Bryant E. Moore School. Route will be south on School Street, west on Main Street and north on State Street. A wreath ceremony will be held during the parade at the Route 1 bridge over the Union River and a memorial immediately following the parade at City Hall. Parade participants are asked to assemble at the Moore school at 9:30 p.m.
ETNA – Memorial Day parade, 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, forms at the corner of Routes 69 and 143 and Center Lane and will proceed to the Pleasant Hill cemetery, where a brief ceremony will be conducted by American Legion Post 107. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held inside the Etna-Dixmont School.
GARLAND – Memorial Day observance 8 a.m. Monday at the Garland Veterans Memorial next to the Ernest Stone Recreation Field. The program will include a changing of the flag and a medley of patriotic songs sung by the Garland Youth Chorus.
GUILFORD – Memorial Day parade, 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, begins at Elm Street cemetery and proceeds to the park across from the Guilford Memorial Library, where a ceremony will be held.
HAMPDEN – Memorial Day parade, 9 a.m. Monday, May 26. LINCOLNVILLE – Parade forms at the fire station at 12:30 p.m. and proceeds to Lincolnville Central School for a wreath laying at the honor roll, taps and a rifle salute.
MAPLETON – Lions Club parade begins at 2 p.m. Line up at 1 p.m. on Dudley Road. The parade will proceed down Main Street to Mapleton Elementary School. The club and veterans groups will host a remembrance ceremony honoring all veterans.

OAKFIELD – Parade starting at 10 a.m. Monday at the community center and proceeding through town to the grocery store. After the parade, a short ceremony will be held at the Oakfield cemetery.
OLD TOWN – VFW veterans service, firing detail, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday at Riverfront Park.
ORONO – Memorial Day parade, 10 a.m. May 26, forms at 9 a.m. at Orono High School. Route: Westwood Drive, left onto Main Street, wreath ceremony with Legion Post 84 at center of bridge, down Park Street to American Legion Hall. Route 2 blocked off from Westwood Drive to intersection of College Avenue and Park Street to just past Legion Hall. At end of parade, Crossroads Ministries collecting nonperishable food items.
PATTEN – The Patten Woman’s Club parade begins at 10 a.m. Monday, starting at the Dick Somers house on Houlton Street. The parade proceeds through town to the cemetery for a ceremony. The Patten Historical Society will be open at 10 a.m. and will serve coffee to any veterans who are marching.
PRESQUE ISLE – American Legion Post 88 Memorial Day parade begins at 10 a.m. Monday. The parade forms at 9 a.m. on the back street of the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus. Memorial service at 9 a.m. at the Fairmount Cemetery on Houlton Road. The parade proceeds north on Main Street, stopping at the Park Street Bridge for a service honoring Navy veterans. The parade then proceeds to Veterans Memorial Park on Main Street for a ceremony honoring all veterans.

ROCKLAND – Memorial Day events begin with a parade at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rockland Harbor Park Center parking lot. The parade will proceed north to Chapman Park for a ceremony, then continues on Main Street to Dunkin’ Donuts. A cookout will be held at the Winslow-Holbrook American Legion building off Limerock Street at 1 p.m.
ROCKPORT – Parade begins at 11 a.m. next to the Rockport post office followed by a wreath throw, rifle salute, taps and prayer at the bridge. Scouts will place wreaths on the graves at the Rockport Cemetery. Lunch served at noon at the American Legion Post, Pearl Street, Camden.
SANGERVILLE – Memorial Day parade, 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, assembling at the parking lot off Route 23 in the village. Stops will be made at the bridge, the veterans honor roll and the cemetery.
