BANGOR – CancerCare of Maine has scheduled its annual Cancer Survivor Day for Sunday, June 1, at the Bangor Waterfront. The event is free and starts at 2:30 p.m. A variety of entertainment is scheduled, starting with the Spontaneous Jazz Ensemble at 2:30 p.m., Tim Sample at 3:30 p.m. and Evergreen at 4:30 p.m. Food is being provided by Steve’s Stagecoach Express and ice cream from John’s.

If you have ever heard the words “you have cancer,” you are a survivor. Join millions of others across the nation as they celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day.

The event includes educational booths and a children’s activity tent.
