CORINTH – Dylan Wilbur’s fielder’s choice in the fourth inning gave Ellsworth a 2-1 high school baseball victory Central on Tuesday.
Adam Kaspala pitched a six-hitter for the Eagles, allowing one run.
Jake Speed hit a home run and a single while Josh Collins had two singles for Central.

Steve Klenowski hit two singles with an RBI and Tyler French had a two-run double for Bucksport.

At Stacyville, Andy Kay, Evan McCarthy and Ethan Qualey (RBI) stroked consecutive two-out singles in the bottom of the seventh as the Cougars knocked the Hornets from the unbeaten ranks.
Kay pitched a four-hitter and struck out nine to pace Katahdin. He also rapped a game-tying, two-run single in the fifth inning.
Lucas Belanger hit an RBI double and Jeremy Tarr posted a run-scoring single to back losing pitcher Justin Belanger, who scattered six hits and struck out nine.

At Hampden, RBI singles by Emily Hodgdon and Crystal Johnson in the fourth inning gave the Indians a 2-0 lead, and Skowhegan held off the Broncos.
Eva Shannon singled in Michelle Wells for Hampden in the fourth, but Ashley Gott was thrown out at the plate on the same play. Wells and Gott each singled and they moved up on a fielder’s choice.
It was Hampden’s third straight one-run loss.
Whitney Jones and Mary Baker singled for the other two Skowhegan hits, and Rebecca McCarty earned the win with 11 strikeouts and no walks.
Lacey Littlefield struck out 15 and walked three for the Broncos.
