GARDINER – Gardiner Area High School senior Kyle Stilphen has been honored as the Gatorade Maine High School Baseball Player of the Year.

As a pitcher he compiled a 2-0 record and a 2.20 earned run average with 22 strikeouts at the time of his selection. The shortstop has also produced a .583 batting average with three homers, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
