HARRINGTON – Tashia Daley pitched a two-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts and three walks and also stroked two singles to power Sumner of East Sullivan to a 9-0 Class C softball victory over Narraguagus on Thursday.
Lona Sargent hit a solo homer and two singles for Sumner, while Morgan Traxler hit a solo home run and a single and Kayla Higgins two singles.
Kim Greene and Sam Baker each singled for Narraguagus.

At Woodland, Shelby Bassett hit two singles and drove in a run to help push Woodland past Washington Academy of East Machias.

Jocelyn Corey hit an RBI triple in the fifth inning for the Raiders. Andi Flannery followed with an RBI double and Irene Lewey added an RBI single.

Lexi Wessel hit an RBI triple to pace the Eagles. Stephi Davis had two singles and two RBIs.

At Corinth, Ashley Kelley struck out 21 and scattered seven hits and Hermon scored a pair of two-out runs in the 10th inning on an infield error to collect the triumph.
Kelley didn’t walk anybody.
Hilary Haney pitched a two-hitter for Central, striking out nine and walking nine.
Ally Wharton and Amanda Page each singled for Hermon while Kristie Collins doubled and singled for Central and Brooke Washburn doubled and scored the Red Devils’ run.

At Woodland, James McLellan drove in four runs on three singles as Woodland defeated Washington Academy of East Machias.

Dan Seamans hit a two-run single to pace the Raiders. Bryce Colbeth doubled and singled and Joey Hunter added an RBI single.

Matt Boyle hit two singles and a two-run home run in the sixth inning for Sumner. John Matson tripled and singled with two RBIs.

At Husson College in Bangor, Aaron Healey and Casey Hull stroked RBI singles in the bottom of the ninth inning, with Healey’s being the game-winner, as John Bapst rallied for the victory.
Healey went the distance in earning the pitching win, throwing 125 pitches while striking out nine and walking four.
Ryan Carr tripled in a run to cap a two-run rally in the seventh for Bapst to send it to extra innings. Jon Gagnon preceded Carr’s hit with an RBI single.
Hull added a double and a single for the Crusaders.
Dylan Wilbur laced an RBI triple while Adam Kaspala doubled and singled (RBI) for the Eagles. Brad Folmer singled twice.

At Bucksport, Ebb Walton’s two-run single capped a seventh-inning rally as George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill broke a 4-4 tie with three unearned runs.
Walton, Nick Saunders and Lucas Marks, who triggered the decisive rally with a lead-off single, had two singles apiece for the winners.
Steve Klenowski doubled and singled for Bucksport and Kyle McGeechan had two singles and an RBI.

At Houlton on Wednesday, Roman Hall spaced six hits and struck out five and helped his own cause with a double, a single and two RBIs to power the Blue Devils to victory.

Levi Prosser posted two singles to lead Houlton.

At Newport, senior lefthander Brennan Perry pitched a complete-game two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and four walks as the Broncos gained their ninth victory.
Hampden led just 2-1 entering the seventh inning, but Ryan McCluskey’s two-run single highlighted a four-run rally by the Broncos.
Patrick Stephens had two doubles, a single and two RBIs for Hampden, while Nolan Turner had three singles and two runs scored and Ryan Lindemann contributed two singles.
Jordan Richards had an RBI triple for Nokomis.
