Letter

Bible on homosexuals

I felt compelled to respond to the letter, “Same-sex unions” (BDN, April 12-13), I’m not for or against gays. I know many people who are gay, some are even good friends. I’m not judging anyone.

The letter writer said he “cannot find any mention in any Bible of Jesus saying anything that can be construed as anti-gay.”

If the letter writer read the King James Version of the Bible, he would realize his statement was incorrect. Same-sex anything is not natural, and is against God’s will and law.

I will refer him and others to: Romans 1:26-32: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet…”

I pray this may help the letter writer and others looking for the truth.
