ELLSWORTH – Adam Kaspala and Seth Cote combined on a one-hitter to give the Ellsworth Eagles a 7-0 high school baseball victory over the Sumner Tigers Saturday.

Greg Berry hit a double and a single while Garrett Kaspala had a two-run single for the Eagles.

John Matson hit a single for Sumner of East Sullivan.

At Eastport, Ryan Bowen, Tim Barnes and A.J. Seeley combined to pitch a three-hit shutout, allowing no walks and striking out 12 as Shead defeated East Grand of Danforth.

John Garnett hit a double and two singles and drove in three runs for Shead. Justin Lewey had three singles and three RBIs. Barnes singled three times and knocked in a run and Tommy Pottle hit three singles.

Kaleb Dicker, Matt Stones and Jordan Crone singled for East Grand.

At Wiscasset, Josh Hopkins drove in three runs including a go ahead two-run single in the sixth inning to power Wiscasset by Georges Valley.

Jimmy Davis went the distance for the Redskins, striking out 11 to earn the win.

Alec Young had three singles for Georges Valley.
