Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. has promoted five of its managers to positions of senior leadership. Kathy Billings is now vice president of corporate relations. She joined Bangor Hydro in 1985 and has been director of environmental services, director of economic development, and director of public affairs and human resources. She is a graduate of the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science. Gerry Chasse is vice president of T&D operations. He joined Bangor Hydro in 1990 as an electrical engineer. He graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is a registered professional engineer. Peter Dawes is vice president of finance. He joined Bangor Hydro in 1993 as manager of accounting systems. He is a graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, Mass., with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He earned his CPA in 1989. Karen Redford is vice president of legal and regulatory affairs. She joined Bangor Hydro in 2004. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, a master’s degree from the University of Maine and a law degree from the University of Utah. Kim Wadleigh is senior director of customer operations. She joined Bangor Hydro in August 1987 and, over the past 21 years, has held progressively senior roles within the IT and customer service areas. She is a graduate of Husson College and holds an associate degree in office management. Bangor Hydro is wholly owned by Emera Inc. It serves a population of 192,000 in an area encompassing 5,275 square miles in eastern and east coastal Maine.
