PORTLAND – Financial disclosure reports show that Sen. Olympia Snowe is the wealthiest member of Maine’s congressional delegation.
The Portland Press Herald reported that Snowe and her husband, former Maine Gov. John McKernan, are worth between $8.7 million and $26.9 million, mostly through McKernan’s investments in mutual funds, retirement accounts and municipal bonds.
Sen. Susan Collins reported savings and retirement accounts worth between $145,000 to $365,000.
On the House side, Rep. Tom Allen reported holdings worth between $420,000 and $1.2 million, while Rep. Mike Michaud had holdings of between $164,000 and $571,000.
The Press Herald said the delegation members provided the reports in advance of the June 15 deadline.
