BERWICK – Maine State Police detectives have located the motorist accused in last week’s hit-and-run crash that killed a 43-year-old woman in Berwick.

Trooper Kevin Strout said the driver, Jason Brooks, 26, of Saco, was interviewed by state police Friday. There has been no decision whether to bring charges.

Deborah Archer of Berwick was killed the morning of May 27 while walking her dogs along Route 9.

The van was found last week in Somersworth, N.H., and taken to the state police crime lab for examination. The van is owned by Brooksie and Sons Trucking of Saco, which is owned by Jason Brooks’ father.
