CORINNA – A special town meeting has been set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 19, to act on a number of land use and rezoning issues.
The seven issues include changes designed to enhance current commercial areas and restrict future commercial development to areas where infrastructure is already in place.
The revisions include land use changes that would require code enforcement approval for businesses larger than 5,000 square feet in rural residential areas, require planning board approval for any light manufacturing venture in rural residential areas, require code enforcement approval for any expansions in those areas, and further define minimum lot sizes and sewer requirements in both rural residential and rural agricultural.
The revisions also include rezoning Route 7 to rural residential from the end of the existing sewer line to the Dexter town line.
The warrant also includes a vote on increasing the number of people on the assessment review board from three to five.
The meeting will be held at the Stewart Free Library.
