Dominic an athletic, smart boy

Dominic was born in 2001 and has a contagious laugh and a terrific smile that lights up his entire face. Dominic is very active. He loves to ride bikes, ATVs, snowmobiles – anything that moves. He is safe when he rides and says he always wears his helmet. Dominic says if he had one wish, it would be to own his own motorcycle one day.

Dominic also enjoys other outdoor activities. He likes to fish, plays basketball and baseball and wants to take karate lessons. Indoors, Dominic can often be found singing and dancing around his bedroom. He will make up his own songs, then perform them for anyone who will listen. You may also find Dominic in the kitchen, whipping up some of his famous pancakes. He likes to cook and is learning new things he can make, while working to perfect his toasted cheese sandwiches.

Dominic will need a family that has a lot of patience. A nurturing family that likes to give hugs will be a great match for Dominic. Of course, a family that loves the outdoors, camping, fishing, riding ATVs and going snowmobiling would be a great family for this outdoorsy child!

Dominic is one of the 147 children in the care of the state Department of Health and Human Services who are seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care. For more information about Dominic, foster parenting and-or the other children available for adoption, contact A Family for ME toll-free at 877-505-0545, or visit www.AFamilyForMe.org to see the Heart Gallery of photographs of some of the many children awaiting a “forever family.”
