AUGUSTA – State health officials have issued a warning that ozone concentrations in Maine could reach unhealthful levels over the weekend.
The Department of Environmental Protection said that ozone levels will be unhealthy Saturday on the southern coast. Unhealthy levels are expected Sunday and Monday along both the southern coast and the midcoast.
Officials say people should avoid strenuous activity during the middle of the day, close windows in their homes and take it easy.
