BELFAST – The Belfast Historical Society will host “Belfast In The Age of Sail,” a slide presentation by society president Megan Pinette at 7 p.m. Monday, June 23, at the Belfast Public Library on High Street.

The program will feature a broad history ofsailing ships of note, sea captains, mariners, shipbuilders and the houses where they lived. A presentation will highlight the building and launching of the ship Jennie Flood Kreger, the largest and only five-masted vessel.

Meetings, which are free and open to the public, are held at 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of the month February through October. For information about programs and membership, visit belfastmuseum.org.
