Rikki, born in 1994, is a friendly, smart and creative girl who enjoys reading, riding her bike and figure skating. She is a beautiful girl with long brown hair, brown eyes and a captivating smile.
Recently, Rikki began taking ice skating lessons and has shown some talent. She likes to be on the ice and doesn’t mind being cold. She also has an interest in music and plays the clarinet. She has joined the school band and enjoys performances. Rikki also likes to write, draw and dance. She enjoys attending public school full time and does fairly well there.
Rikki would do best in an environment in which caregivers are nurturing and set clear, consistent limits and boundaries. Rikki would do best in an adoptive family with older children. An adoption subsidy may be available to the most appropriate family.
Rikki is one of the 147 children in Maine Department of Health and Human Services care who are seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with Maine DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
