HAMDPEN – Cody Johndro’s two-run home run in the third inning lifted Hampden to a 3-1 American Legion baseball victory over Steamboat Petroleum of Waldo County at Bordick Park Thursday night.

Josh Tardiff hit a solo homer in the fourth for Hampden and also doubled and singled.

Singles by Jake Arthers and Jack Davis were the only hits given up by HA’s Shawn Smith.

Trenton 5, Calais 2

At Blue Hill, Nick Saunders tallied two doubles and two RBIs to propel the Trenton Acadians by the Calais Suns.

Ebb Walton hit a double and a single while Lucas Marks had an RBI double for the Acadians behind Andrew Hodge, who pitched a five-hitter.

Tom Pottle posted a double and a single for Calais.

Lincoln 3, Orono 1

At Lincoln, Pete Coggins slapped a two-run single to highlight a three-run sixth inning and supply the host Lincoln Lumber with the victory.

Coggins scattered one run on four hits while striking out seven. Tyler Tash had two singles while Garen Manzo and Tyson Tash doubled for Lincoln.

Tyler Honey singled and drew a bases-loaded walk for Orono.
