Mill Street to be closed to traffic until noon

BREWER – Traffic on Mill Street is expected to be closed from about 8 a.m. until about noon today for a training exercise involving the Brewer Fire Department, according to Chief Rick Bronson. Local traffic will be allowed to enter Mill Street from the Elm Street end to get in and out of locations between 52 Mill St. and Elm Street. Likewise, traffic to and from the Orrington side of 52 Mill St. will be allowed to enter and exit to or from Orrington.

For about four hours, no traffic will be able to pass by 52 Mill St., site of the training exercise, which will involve burning the structure there.
