GORHAM – Sunday’s heavy rain in southern Maine resulted in the cancellation of this year’s Maine-New Hampshire Senior All-Star Baseball Classic and postponement of the Maine Underclass All-Star Game, both originally scheduled for Monday at the University of Southern Maine.

The Maine-New Hampshire game was cancelled because of the players’ uncertain availability to participate on a new date. Event organizer Mike Coutts expects the Maine-New Hampshire game to return next year, with a rain date established in advance.

The Maine Underclass All-Star game has been rescheduled for noon Thursday at USM.
