MINOT – Authorities are reviewing an accident at a central Maine motorcycle track that fatally injured a Massachusetts man.

Maine State Police say 36-year-old Dan Arnold of Southwick, Mass., died June 15 at Central Maine Medical Center after suffering head injuries a day earlier when he failed to negotiate a turn at Hemond’s Moto-X Park in Minot.

Sgt. Joe Mills said the accident is being reviewed by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Park owner Serae Hemond said it was the first fatal accident at the 1.5-mile dirt bike course since it opened in 2002.
