LITCHFIELD – Lightning is blamed for a fast-moving fire that destroyed a barn in Litchfield.

Tom Campbell said he was working near the barn when lightning struck Sunday and quickly engulfed his barn in flames. Firefighters were able to save Campbell’s house, but the barn was a total loss.

No injuries were reported, but the fire destroyed Campbell’s compost business and many tools stored in the barn.
