Boucher, Richardson lead Old Town past Lincoln

OLD TOWN – Adam Boucher hit an RBI fielder’s choice tie it at 4-4 in the third inning and scored the winning run on a passed ball to lead the Old Town 11-12 All-Stars to a 5-4 District 3 baseball win over Lincoln Wednesday.

Old Town’s Boucher hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Adam Richardson followed with a solo homer.

Patrick Quimby and Garvey Melmed combined for 10 strikeouts for Old Town.

Tryson Pelkey led Lincoln with three singles and A.J. MacFadden chipped in two singles. Josh Shaw had eight strikeouts.

Bangor East 8, Holbrook 7

At Holden, Bangor East jumped out to a 7-0 second-inning lead and then withstood a furious Holbrook rally to remain unbeaten in District 3 play.

Ry Powell hit a two-run home run to highlight a five-run first-inning uprising by Bangor East, and Cody Collins tripled as the winners scored two more runs in the second inning.

Powell and Collins also singled, while teammate Nick Ashley singled twice for Bangor East.

Shawn Curran and Nolan Webber each doubled and singled for Holbrook, while Alex Wortman singled twice.

Millinocket 5, Brewer 2

At Millinocket, Nick Dumas broke up the 2-2 tie in the sixth inning with a two-out, two-run double to lift Millinocket over Brewer.

Jordan Morrow hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning for Millinocket. Mark Lyons doubled and singled and Derrick Tanous tripled.

Brad Moscone allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out 10 for Millinocket.

Sam Ness and Greg Warmuth singled for Brewer.

Hampden 18, Hermon 8

At Hermon, Matt Martin hit three singles and drove in five runs to help lead Hampden past Hermon.

Michael Ward hit a single and a two-run home run for Hampden. Colin Vidas added a solo homer and a single. Daniel Good and Jack Barteaux each hit two-run singles.

Andrew Elston hit double and a two-run single to pace Hermon. Darius Ntacyo had two singles and an RBI and Tyler Gordon doubled.

Acadian 15, Moosabec 0

At Bar Harbor, Ross Johnston and Bailey York combined to allow two hits, no walks and nine strikeouts through four innings and Acadian shutout Moosabec.

Johnston had a double and two singles with two RBIs to lead Acadian. Adam Ranco hit a two-run double and York added two singles and two RBIs. Jesse Alley hit an RBI single.

Vinal Crowley provided all of Moosabec’s offense with a double and a single.

At Calais, Casey Donovan singled twice and knocked in a run to lead Calais past Ellsworth.

Lucas Knowles contributed two singles for the winners.

Jake Maguire and Brian Jones singled for Ellsworth.

At Bucksport, Bret Ingraham had a pair of singles and Conner Morey hit a two-run single in an 11-run first inning that carried Coastal past Bucksport in a game called after three and a half innings due to the 10-run rule.

Mariner Chaney had a run-scoring double for the winners.

Josh Gray hit a solo homer for Bucksport and Chris Chaffee singled twice.

Machias 6, Sunrise 0

At Franklin, Fred MacLean hit a solo home run, double and two singles to drive in three runs and lead Machias past Sunrise.

Nick Raye pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings allowing two hits, two walks and striking out 11 for Machias.

Tyler Varney had two singles and an RBI for Machias and Colin Pineo added a single and two RBIs.

Tyler Bunker singled for Sunrise.

Bangor East 7, Brewer 1

At Brewer, Andrew Hillier hit two doubles and a triple to drive in three runs and lead Bangor East to victory over Brewer.

Tucker Rice singled twice and scored twice for Bangor East. Joe Johnson hit a two-run single in the fifth inning. Hillier also recorded eight strikeouts.

Seth Pearson and Matt Pushard each singled twice to lead Brewer. Pearson had seven strikeouts.
