Orrington’s Grover Jr. earns Speedway 95 win

HERMON – Orrington’s Dan Grover Jr. maneuvered past pole-sitter Darren Durrell of Newburgh on the sixth lap in the Little Enduro feature and went on to gain his third victory of the year during Wacky Wednesday racing at Speedway 95. Eddington’s Don Blanchard was third followed by Orrington’s Jonathan Carter and Veazie’s Kyle Gallant.

Oxford Plains Speedway

At Oxford, Kevin Leighton of Minot earned his first win in three years in the Acceleration Series in the first Chimney Tech Outlaw race at Oxford Plains Speedway Wednesday night after apparent winner David Smith failed the post-race inspection.

Tina Titus of Lisbon Falls was second with Nik Coates, also of Lisbon, Auburn’s Randy Nutter and Sabattus’ Don Veinott rounding out the top five.
