At one time there was an ad on TV detailing the additional costs associated with flying out of the Portland Jetport versus flying from Bangor International Airport. Even with the additional costs of hotel, gas and parking, there is a lot of money to be saved by flying out of Portland.

My husband and I recently purchased tickets from Delta Airlines to fly from Portland to San Diego. We would love to fly out of Bangor, but that is no longer an option. We saved $833 on airfare by flying out of Portland. Need I say more?
