BANGOR – The city’s Recreation Department is offering swimming programs throughout the summer at municipal pools.
Swim lessons are offered at the Beth Pancoe pool on Union Street at 13th Street. Session II runs Mondays through Thursdays, July 21-Aug. 14, at these times: 9-9:30 a.m., levels 3-6; 9:45-10:15 a.m., levels 1-4; 10:30-11 a.m., levels 1-6; 11:15-11:45 a.m., levels 1 and 2. The cost is $15 for residents, $25 for nonresidents.
Open swim times at the Beth Pancoe pool run throughout the week. General swim times are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $1 for resident children, $2 for nonresident children, $2 for resident adults and $4 for nonresident adults.
Open swim times for the Dakin Pool, located at the end of Pine Street across Stillwater Avenue from Broadway Park, also run throughout the week. General swim times are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Family swim times are 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. There is no charge.
