BELFAST – At some point, every woman has opened her closet in the morning only to struggle with finding an outfit to wear in public. Whether it’s time to do laundry, you’re tired with your wardrobe, or you can’t seem to find the right look for a certain occasion, getting dressed can sometimes be a struggle at any age.
One local teen, however, has gotten it right, and for her fashion forward technique, Sarah Daggeto, 16, of Belfast has been selected by Seventeen magazine as one of the magazine’s Best-Dressed Girls.
She will appear in Seventeen’s August edition that is set to hit stands today.
“When choosing this year’s Seventeen Best-Dressed Girls, we looked for diversity in style and for girls who seemed like they had fun getting dressed and putting outfits together,” according to Marissa Grumer, senior market editor. “We loved Sarah’s creative twist on the classic prep style. Her look is quite sweet with her miniskirt and necklace, yet she put a sporty New England-style spin on it with the tailored prep blazer and rugby top. We think Seventeen readers will be inspired by her fall ’08 on-trend outfit.”
The winners of the contest ranged in age from 15 to 20 years old and are from across the country. In the August issue, each of the 17 ladies will reveal their style secrets and disclose their diva ways.
For Sarah, there is a method.
“I put all my clothes in piles (short sleeves, long sleeves, etc.), and just close my eyes and pick one thing from each pile,” Sarah told Seventeen.
“Then I layer it all together. It’s usually cute!”
