PRESQUE ISLE – The Presque Isle Police Department is looking for a motorist who ran a car off the road Friday morning and then left the scene. The incident happened just after 8 a.m. on Conant Road, according to information provided by the department.

PRESQUE ISLE – The Presque Isle Police Department is looking for a motorist who ran a car off the road Friday morning and then left the scene.

The incident happened just after 8 a.m. on Conant Road, according to information provided by the department.

Police said Mary Kay Moreau of Mapleton was driving her 2004 Chevy Cavalier west on Conant Road when she encountered an oncoming small maroon truck that crossed the line into her lane.

Moreau was forced to avoid the truck and ended up in the ditch. Her vehicle had minor damage.

Crown Ambulance went to assist Moreau, but she did not need to be taken to the hospital.

Sgt. Joey Seeley and Officer Larry Fickett are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Presque Isle Police Department at 764-2534.
