CALAIS – The St. Croix River Valley Arts Council’s film society will screen “Under the Same Moon” at 7 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the Holmestead, 527 Main St.

In this 2007 film, a 9-year-old Mexican boy runs away and crosses the border as a stowaway, seeking his mother, who is living undercover and working illegally in Los Angeles. The film is shown in Spanish with English subtitles. Everybody is welcome. There is no admission charge, although donations are suggested.
