DOVER-FOXCROFT – Bill Bissell hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning Sunday to help push Brewer to a 9-4 Zone 1 American Legion baseball victory over Penquis.
Chase Daniels had two singles and three RBIs for the first-place Falcons. Chris Maguire added two singles and two RBIs and Carab Smith tripled.
Nick Lancisi hit a double and scored twice to lead Penquis. Scott Kelley singled twice and Dan Beatham doubled. Ian Champeon hit a run-scoring single.

Brewer sweeps Orono
At Old Town, Rick Adams hit a three-run home run to highlight a seven-run seventh inning as the Brewer Falcons defeated the Orono Twins 9-7 in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
The Falcons took the first game 12-1.
In the first game, Billy Bissell hit two doubles, a home run and a single for Brewer. Eric White added two singles and a double.
Max Winter hit two doubles while Tyler Honey doubled and singled for Old Town.
In the second game, Eric White and Prentiss Swett each hit two singles for the Falcons.
Winter hit a grand slam and two singles for the Twins. Dan Lebreton had a double and a single while Cody Cross hit two singles for Orono.

At Presque Isle Sunday, Ted Walker hit a one-out game-ending three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead Presque Isle.
Matt Enman hit a single and a solo homer in the eighth for Presque Isle. Pat Thibodeau doubled and singled and Walker added a double.
Nolan Turner hit a double, single and drove in two runs for Hampden. Josh Tardiff and Cody Miller each doubled and singled.

Steamboat sweeps Presque Isle
At Presque Isle, back-to-back sacrifice flies in the top of the fifth inning helped lead Steamboat Petroleum of Waldo tot he 6-4 win over Presque Isle in Saturday’s second game. Steamboat also won the first game 13-3.
In the first game, Miles Davee hit a solo home run, sacrifice fly and a two-run double for Steamboat. Jack Davis hit an RBI double. Gabe Blodgett and Jake Arthers combined for 12 strikeouts.
In the second game, Tyler Miles hit two doubles and a single to drive in a run for Steamboat.

At Hermon, Jack Davis tallied three singles and a double as Steamboat of Waldo rolled.
Gabe Blodgett hit a three-run double in the first inning while Dale Dutton had a triple and a single with an RBI for Steamboat.
Aaron Healey and Andrew Casey hit two singles apiece while Chris Smith added an RBI double for Motor City.

Trenton sweeps Hampden
At Hampden, Lucas Marks hit a double and three singles while driving in four runs to help lead Trenton to a 13-1 win over Hampden in Saturday’s first game. Trenton also took the nightcap 8-3.
In the first game, Andrew Hader hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning for Trenton. Calvin Tweedie had three singles and three RBIs. Collin Ciomei doubled and singled and Nick Saunders singled twice.
Shawn Smith led Hampden with a double, single and a run scored.
In the second game, Marks doubled, singled and drove in a run to pace Trenton. Saunders doubled and singled and Tweedie added two singles and two RBIs. Ciomei and Adam Kaspala each singled twice.
Caleb Kirk hit an RBI triple in the seventh inning to lead Hampden. Nolan Kirk doubled.

At Old Town on Sunday, Tyler Tash forced in the tying run with a bases-loaded walk, then A.J. Harris put the Lumber ahead for good with an RBI single during a seven-run, ninth-inning rally.
Relief winner Pete Coggins, who pitched a scoreless ninth, added an RBI single in the uprising for Lincoln. He also stroked a home run and two other singles to finish with four RBIs.
Lance Bernier rapped a home run and three singles (two RBIs), while Tyson Tash plated three runs with a homer, a double and a single. Cory Barnett smacked a two-run homer and two singles and Aaron Saucier posted a home run and a double (three RBIs).
Dana Leland paced Orono with three doubles, two singles and five RBIs, while Kash Keezer hit a three-run homer and an RBI single. Jason Smith belted a solo homer and two singles.

Penquis sweeps Calais
At Calais on Saturday, Penquis racked up 31 hits while sweeping a doubleheader from Calais by scores of 20-12 and 17-9.
In the opener, Scott Kelley’s grand slam spearheaded an eight-run third inning that gave Penquis the lead for good. Nick Lancisi hit a two-run homer a triple and a single, while A.J. McGowen plated four runs with three singles.
Winning pitcher Ian Champeon and Danny Kane each had two singles and two RBIs.
Tom Pottle paced Calais with a double, a single and four RBIs. Jeff Ramsdell hit a two-run homer and an RBI double, while Matt O’Brien provided a solo home run, a double and a single. Scott Boomer stroked two run-scoring singles.
In the second game, McGowen led the Penquis barrage with a two-run double, an RBI double and a two-run single.
Champeon singled three times with two RBIs and winning pitcher Kelley had a run-producing double and an RBI single.

Aerus, Union Street split
At Bangor, Tyler Thompson hit a two-run single as part of a four-run third inning as Aerus avoided the sweep with a 6-2 win over Union Street Cleaners in the second game of a Sunday doubleheader.
Union Street Cleaners topped Aerus in the first game 6-2.
In the first game, Chris McInnis posted three singles and an RBI and Scott Hackett had two singles and an RBI for Union Street.
Randy Renaud hit two singles and Joe Neil had an RBI single for Aerus.
In the second game, Dave Morral hit an RBI single for Aerus.
McInnis tallied two singles with an RBI while Hackett hit an RBI double for Union Street.
