EASTPORT – State Sen. Kevin Raye, R-Perry, and the Husson Boat School will be host to a public energy forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the Boat School Multipurpose Room.
The purpose of the forum is to explore ways for area residents to deal with the high cost of energy. Raye has invited representatives from Efficiency Maine, the Maine State Housing Authority and Washington-Hancock Community Agency to attend and present information on ways to reduce energy costs and weatherize homes and businesses this winter.
Efficiency Maine field staff member John Rice will give an overview of Efficiency Maine programs, such as the Residential, Business, Education-Training, and Renewable Energy programs. Business topics will include agricultural, lighting, motors, HVAC, variable frequency drives, refrigeration and custom project opportunities. The residential lighting program will be discussed, in addition to other residential home energy topics.
For information, contact Raye or Miller at the Husson Boat School in Eastport at 853-2518 or by e-mail at senatorraye@wwsisp.com or jmiller@boatschoolhusson.net.
