Bucksport Bay Festival offers good time for all

BUCKSPORT – “You don’t have to travel far to have a good time.” That observation was made by organizers of the 11th annual Bucksport Bay Festival set for Thursday through Sunday, July 24-27.

This year’s festival also will celebrate “the twin engineering feats” of Fort Knox, the popular, granite-bound state park, and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory, which soars across the river – a modern-day wonder of Hancock County.

The event, planned with families and those of all ages in mind, includes a talent show for teens, an antique and classic car show, tours of USS John L. Hall and enough music, drama and food to keep voices humming, toes tapping and bellies content.
