Four teens in a black truck kept driving in and out of the Brewer Wal-Mart Supercenter’s parking lot around 1 a.m. Wednesday. They made employees so nervous that they were up to something that the police were called.
Several Brewer police officers arrived at the scene. Officer Rodney Gerald questioned the teens about why they were in the parking lot at that time of the night and what they were doing with shopping carts in the back of the 2006 GMC pickup, Capt. Jason Moffitt said.
One of the teens said they found them, and another said they didn’t know where to return the carts, which had logos on them from Wal-Mart and another Wilson Street business.
Shawn Chapman, 18, of Hermon and a 17-year-old Carmel male were given summonses for theft. The juvenile’s parents were called and the other two people in the truck were not charged. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
