PRESQUE ISLE – The public is invited to attend an open house from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at Aroostook County Democrats’ 2008 campaign office.

The office at 404 Main St. is to serve as the hub for Aroostook County voters to get information on Democratic candidates or to volunteer to support Democrats in the 2008 election.

U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud; Diana Allen, wife of Democratic Senate candidate Tom Allen; John Knutson, Maine Democratic Party chairman; Virginia Manuel, Aroostook Democratic chair; and Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Arden Manning will join Aroostook County legislative leaders, local Democrats, volunteers and staff for the event.

The campaign employs a staff of 52 people statewide, and now has at least one office open in every county of the state.
