Rick Burrill has been named the head athletic trainer at Saint Joseph’s College in Standish.

He joins the Monks’ staff after 16 seasons as a trainer in professional hockey, including the last two with the Portland Pirates.

A Freeport native, Burrill has a B.S. from Northeastern University. He succeeds Lisa Ahearn, who remains at the school as a full-time faculty member.
