Doug Leichner, who spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach with the University of Maine men’s basketball team, has left the Black Bears to become a head coach in Ireland.

Leichner has been hired to coach the University College Cork Blue Demons Basketball Club Superleague team. At UMaine, Leichner worked with the forwards and assisted in recruiting.
