NORTHPORT – Temple Heights Spiritual Camp is bringing magic, music, art and enlightenment to the 126-year-old camp south of Belfast.

Saturday workshops and Friday night enlightenment socials the rest of this month will focus on the fields of dream work, American Indian flute, talking to the unseen world, and spirit art.

British spiritualist John Alexander will lead programs at the camp from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 19. Alexander, who has trained at the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain and the College of Psychic Studies in Longs, England, has worked extensively in his home country at churches and centers giving private sittings, workshops and demonstrations of clairvoyance.

Laura Lee Perkins will present a program on the American Indian flute from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Edgar Cayce A.R.E. psychic Atira will be at the camp July 20 to 26. Atira, who has been a professional clairvoyant for 20 years, will be available for private readings. She is host for a radio show called “Metaphysical Straight Talk from the Heart” on www.bbsradio.com.

Elizabeth Gosselin of the First Spiritualist Church in Salem, Mass., will demonstrate the art of spirit drawing on July 25 and 26 as she uses the gift of mediumship. She will teach a workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26.

The year’s camp season is dedicated to Ann Council and her many services to spiritualism. The former president of Temple Heights Camp, she also served on the Temple Heights church board and served camps and churches throughout Maine and the United States.
