CARIBOU – A 31-year-old who allegedly wreaked havoc at a local doughnut shop found himself battered and behind bars on Saturday evening.
Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan said the incident unfolded at the Tim Horton’s doughnut shop on Bennett Drive at approximately 11:30 p.m.
Gahagan said employees at the shop called police after Patrick White of Perham allegedly became rude and vulgar in the restaurant. He reportedly started throwing food and began trying to pick fights with customers and employees.
White reportedly refused to leave the shop.
He eventually did leave the restaurant before police arrived and allegedly got into a fight with another individual in the parking lot. He received a cut on his lip and a tooth knocked out, according to the chief.
The other individual involved in the altercation was not charged.
The Caribou Ambulance Service responded to the call and treated White. He subsequently was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Gahagan said a blood alcohol test was performed on White, but the results were not available Monday.
White made bail and is expected to appear in court in the near future.
