Bangor Hydro to cut power for maintenance

BANGOR – Bangor Hydro Electric Co., has scheduled power interruptions in Millinocket and Trenton on Tuesday, July 29.

The Trenton outage is expected to go from 1 to 4 a.m. (rain date Wednesday, July 30), while the Trenton outage is expected to go from 2 to 5 a.m. (rain date Wednesday, July 30).

In Trenton, the areas affected involve about 30 customers located on Haynes Point Road, Hanna Drive, Paradis Drive and Honey Bear Lane.

The Millinocket customers affected are on Route 11 and streets off Route 11 including Medway Road, River Street, Eastland Avenue, Maple Street, Wassau Street, Cottage Road, Cedar Street, Massachusetts Avenue, Granite Street, Prospect Street, Waldo Street, Garden Street, Westwood Street, Forest Avenue and other connecting streets served by the Millinocket substation.

These interruptions are necessary, the company said, to safely perform routine maintenance to ensure continued reliability.
