BANGOR – Penobscot Valley Industries will showcase the multifaceted talents of its artists with an exhibit during August at the Bangor Public Library.

PVI provides job training and assisted living opportunities for area residents, and its art program is one of its most successful and popular offerings. The PVI-Amicus opening reception will take place 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Aug. 15, in the library’s Lecture Hall.

The Bangor Library Stairwell Gallery will feature the work of Palmyra artist Rebecca Pennock in August.

The exhibit, “Seascape along the Shore,” includes many of Pennock’s works that feature marine subjects, but the artist also is known for her wildlife acrylics.

Anita McCormick and Henry the Cat continue to show their work in the showcase in the library’s round Reading Room.
